A beautiful capture of nature's power, flowing straight towards the viewer. The whites in the rapids maintain their texture (they aren't washed out, photographically, that is). Straight lines are seldom found in nature, but here the fallen trees direct the eye to the water; rigid to fluid. The high banks suggest the power of the water. The bank is vertically balanced with the water. Horizontally, the bank, water and spruce are balanced in thirds. What would make this better? If by luck or good timing there was direct sunlight, the the greens would be brighter, including the water color. Keep doing what you're doing, and you'll know when you like some photos better than others. You've put yourself on location with an eye to recognize a wonderful subject, and you brought a camera, too!
